I recently started selling on Etsy and have been trying to keep up with the newest trends. Last month (or I guess 2 months ago now, August 2025), personalized plastic cups were highly sought after, and it took me a while to find the best way to make them. I started with clear vinyl sticker paper, which worked alright, but I recently got a cricut and knew I had to try it out. As expected, it leveled up my personalized cups.

Personalized Plastic Cup Made With Cricut
The best part of this new process is that I was able to make them for less than $1.50 per cup.
TLDR
To make personalized plastic cups with cricut for less than $1.50 per cup, you’ll need:
Vinyl (or Smart Vinyl if you don’t have a mat) $9.99 / 5 square feet × 0.02 square feet =$0.20 per cup
Plastic cups$1.22 per cup
TOTAL: $1.42 per cup
Let’s get into the specifics
Once you have your supplies, you’ll go into the cricut design space and type whatever name or word you want to put on the cup in your desired font and click Make.

After you cut out your design, you’ll do the classic cricut process of weeding and transferring the decal to your cup with your transfer tape and weeder. Since cricut explains this in the design space, it seems pointless for me to go over it here as well.
Once you transfer your decal to your cup, the process is complete! Yep, it is that easy.
